Mrs. Claire St. Pierre
Mrs. St. Pierre fulfilled a lifelong dream of becoming a librarian in 2018 and is happy to have found a home at Hopkins Elementary in 2019. Prior to that, she taught ELA for 5 years at both Moody Middle School and Kitty Hawk Middle School. For her undergraduate degree in Education, she attended the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor in Belton, TX. She completed her Master of Library Science degree at Texas Woman's University in 2019.
A San Antonio Native and avid reader, Mrs. St. Pierre enjoys sharing her love of literature and passion for lifelong learning with all students.
Hours of Operation:
7:15 a.m. - 3:15 p.m.
Checkouts:
Kinder and 1st grade students are allowed to checkout 1 book at a time.
2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students are allowed to checkout 2 books at a time.
Length of Checkout:
All books are checked out for a 2 week period.
Fines:
Fines are not charged for overdue books. However, students are encouraged to renew their books so they do not become overdue.
Damaged Books:
Fines associated with damage to books will be assessed on a case by case basis according to the specific damage.
Lost Books:
The replacement cost for a lost or non-returned book is accepted in the form of cash or check. You may also buy a book to replace the lost book, but it must be the exact title and hardcover binding of the lost book. Your child will not be allowed to checkout a book until the replacement cost for a lost book(s) is paid.

Horario:
7:15 a.m. – 3:15 p.m.
Préstamos:
Kinder y 1º grado tienen permitido sacar 1 libro a la vez.
2º, 3º, 4º y 5º grado tienen permitido sacar 2 libros a la vez.
Tiempo del Préstamo:
Todos los libros son prestados por dos semanas.
Multas:
No se cargará múlta por libros que son regresados tarde. Sin embargo, se fomenta a los estudiantes que regresen sus libros a tiempo para no ser marcados con retrazo.
Libros Destruídos:
Las consecuencias de libro destruidos serán dependiendo el caso del tipo de destrucción del libro.
