Hopkins Elementary proudly participated in the 3rd Grade Reading is Out of This World Contest and achieved outstanding success!
Our campus earned 2nd place for the most minutes read in the district.
Ms. Pagan’s 3rd grade class also took 2nd place for the most minutes read.
A special congratulations goes to Natalie Reyes from Ms. Luna’s class, who earned 1st place for reading the most minutes of all 3rd graders across the entire district!
What an incredible accomplishment that highlights our students’ dedication, hard work, and love for reading. Great job to our students, teachers, and families for supporting this amazing achievement!

Over Spring Break, Coach Joe Cuellar, P.E. Teacher and iPlay Champion Coach at Hopkins Elementary was honored at a San Antonio Spurs game as the 2026 Spurs Jr. NBA / Scholastic Coach of the Year by the San Antonio Spurs!
Coach Cuellar consistently goes above and beyond for his students, making a lasting impact not only in his P.E. classroom but across the entire Hopkins Elementary campus. His passion for student success, commitment to wellness, and positive energy make him a true role model and mentor.
We are incredibly proud of Coach Cuellar and this well‑deserved recognition! Congratulations!

Today we hosted our annual Jump Rope Contest - Two of our little hawks from each Homeroom in every grade level, competed in the Jump Rump Contest!
We had 3 winners from each grade level - Everyone did such an AMAZING Job! Congratulations Hopkins Hawks !
