WE Lost & Found
Woodlake Elementary School conducted a practice LOCKDOWN Drill today. LOCKDOWN drills are conducted to ensure students and staff practice the Standard Response Protocols and know how to respond should a LOCKDOWN occur at our school.

Our students and staff did a VICTORIOUS job during the drill, and we will debrief with our local first responders to continue to identify any areas for improvement. Thank you for your continued support. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WPr9gS39Amw

Thank you for everything you do to keep us Viking Strong!

Clean Day
As we maintain our focus on campus safety and security, we wanted to inform you that we will be conducting a practice LOCKDOWN DRILL during the week of Feb. 17-Feb. 20. We want to ensure that all students, staff, and visitors are prepared in the event of any emergency, including what actions should be taken during a LOCKDOWN. Practice of emergency procedures through drills and training can reduce confusion.

We will not be conducting any live scenarios during our LOCKDOWN drill, meaning there will be no loud simulations, blank rounds, or explosive sounds.

“DRILL IN PROGRESS” signage will be posted at the front entrance to the school building.

NO VISITORS WILL BE ALLOWED TO ENTER OR EXIT THE BUILDING DURING THE DURATION OF THE LOCKDOWN DRILL.

We invite you to review the I Love U Guys Standard Response Protocols on our district's safety and security website http://www.judsonisd.org/safetyandsecurity. Thank you for your continued support.

Closed Campus
WE Family,

I want to ensure everyone stays informed, so I’m sharing an important update from last night’s Growth & Planning Meeting.

During the meeting, three possible elementary consolidation plans were presented. Every proposed plan being brought forward to the JISD School Board includes the closure of Woodlake Elementary.

You can watch the full recording here:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mJBAt_xW2wA&t=5963s

There are two remaining meetings where school closures will be discussed:

Saturday, February 14 at 9:30 am – JISD ERC, 8205 Palisades Dr., Live Oak, TX 78233

Monday, February 16 at 5:30 pm – JISD ERC, 8205 Palisades Dr., Live Oak, TX 78233

These meetings are open to the public, and public comment is allowed. If you wish to speak, please arrive early and complete the required form at least 30 minutes before the meeting begins.

Our District 3 Board Member is Mrs. Leslie Lee, and she can be contacted at llee@judsonisd.org.

Please know that, even in the midst of uncertainty, our work with your children continues every day. Thank you for trusting us, supporting us, and helping keep our community Viking Strong.

With gratitude,
